Wexly Inc. ("Wexly," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Wexly AI SMS booking platform at getwexly.com. We are the data controller for information collected through our service.

2c. Customer data (your customers)

When your customers text your Wexly number, we collect their phone numbers and conversation history. This data belongs to you. We process it solely to provide the service and never use it for our own marketing.

We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate Wexly:

All providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us. We do not share data with any other third parties except as required by law.

5. SMS / Text Messaging Policy

Wexly provides an AI-powered SMS booking assistant for businesses. This section describes how text messaging works within our platform.

How End Users Opt In

End users (customers of businesses using Wexly) opt in to receive text messages by initiating contact first — they text the business's dedicated Wexly SMS number to request an appointment, ask a question, or get information. The call-to-action is displayed on the business's website, Google Business Profile, social media, QR codes, in-store signage, business cards, and/or the business's Wexly public booking page (getwexly.com/book/[business-name]) with instructions such as "Text us to book an appointment." The opt-in is always initiated entirely by the end user. No messages are sent to users who have not first initiated contact.

Types of Messages Sent

Once an end user opts in by texting, they may receive the following types of messages:

All messages are directly related to the end user's original request or their ongoing relationship with the business.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on user interaction. Typically, end users receive 2–5 messages per appointment (confirmation, reminder, follow-up). Users who engage in active conversations may receive more messages during those conversations. No more than 10 automated messages per month are sent per end user outside of active conversations.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Wexly does not charge end users for messages, but standard carrier messaging rates from the end user's mobile provider may apply.

Opt-Out / STOP

End users can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. They will receive a one-time confirmation that they have been unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. End users can also text HELP for assistance. To resume messages after opting out, end users can text START.

Mobile Number Privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share end user mobile phone numbers with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers are used solely to facilitate the booking and communication services provided by Wexly on behalf of the business. Mobile numbers may be shared with the following service providers strictly for the purpose of delivering the SMS service:

No other third parties have access to end user mobile numbers.

Consent

By texting a Wexly-powered SMS number, end users consent to receive text messages from that business via the Wexly platform as described in this policy. Consent is not a condition of purchase. End users may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP.

We use minimal cookies — only what's necessary to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that share your data.

10. Children's Privacy

Wexly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information. You may request disclosure of what personal information we collect, use, and share by contacting us at privacy@getwexly.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Wexly after changes constitutes acceptance.
